How much coolant and water did you add total
What a great view, no butts about it.
I would love to know what part number that is. I have a buick Regal GN and it has the aluminum (painted black) top outside trim piece on the car. I ordered the belt sweeps from RA. I ordered the 'black bead'. I now know that is the WRONG outer piece. None of these guys can mark their parts with a description to identify the version they are selling.
I have a 1978 whit a 260 engine with only 43,000 miles original
At 16 I had a 78 Pontiac with that 403 combination. Same results. Loved it and loved the howl of the Quadrajet.
What if my check engine light doesn’t stay on? It goes away while driving
Intermittent issue.
Well yes but I’m having rough running and the light comes and goes during
@@RocketmanV8 The computer captures the code so whether its on or off it will still flash out an error code.
The one thing I would have done different is remove the carb. first. If you dropped anything while the carb. was on the car, it most likely be gone. Also those hold down bolts being loose, you would want to make sure the carb gasket to the manifold was not damaged. But this is a good video,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Agree, easier to do the job off the car. I have done it both ways.
Very good video ! Super helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have a video on changing the oil pump the same way on the same engine
I don't
How are the seat backs mounted on? I’m so confused
Screws
It would help if you said what size socket
Really? Is it that hard to grab one out of your tool box check? LOL
It was sucking gas so fast because of the return line, all the gas it wasn't using was getting pumped back into the tank.
Yep you are right, I figured that out after filming.
im in minnesota and have a 99% rust free 1986 chevy monte carlo cl and it runs just needs a battery
for sale 5200
Nice
This guy is great, no BS, right to the point... much appreciated
Gondolom ők se kurvák😂😂😂 SZÉPEK! DIVATOSAK!
2011 Ford explorer has individual coil packs not one as shown.
I have a 78 cutlass with red interior. Are u interested in selling some of the interior parts
I have seen a bunch of people toss a good q jet because it develops an off idle stumble- i take their “bad” q jet - install a new accelerator pump plunger and go do burn outs- your video is the best rebuild i have watched so far- people dont realize their is only 2 q jet sizes 750 and 800cfm- GM used millions of these carbs on hot small blocks and big blocks that were very fast- they are still used today by guys that can tune them to run 9s in the 1/4 mile - that is screamin fast-
I have issues running the Linkage correctly
Just think..if u woulda fixed the fuel tank 11 years before that it woulda been in your hands..but some dumb reason you knew the motor was legit but wouldn't buy it because they were to dumb to fix..well my friend...your just as dumb... Now you got a 20year old motor that need rebuilt....lol
Nice work! Struggling with my 83 elco rn but love to see your work
How where you able to get your hand deep enough into the dash to loosen the far bolt?
Great video
Thank you for this. I'm going to use it to re-install the A/C in my 'new' '86 El Camino
Ya still have these I would love to have that 78 cuti T tops need that in my life
Excellent video, thanks
I have this same car and the "service engine soon" light comes on and off intermittently. All my research indicates the TPS is the most likely cause. Thank you for this video, because I had absolutely no idea where the TPS was located or how to go about replacing it.
How do you test the TPS on the bench?
I remember the blue accents it had, they looked absolutely horrific. Whatever happened to this truck though?
I see your video is 8 years old but it is still very relevent, especially the part about the retractable front belts.Thank you.
Very informative, ty for sharing
Awesome video! Changed out the alternator on my 1998 S10 today, fairly easy job, the shop wanted $370 plus tax, so it would have run me well over $400 plus whatever they were going to charge for a new battery so it would have run me over $600 plus $150 to tow it to the shop,, instead I did it myself, for about $138 plus a new battery free under warranty.
Hey what about the adjustment on the tps you should've checked it to make sure things are correct....
Great video, Thank you very much !!!
Hi, is this similar to 79 Cadillac DeVille? Thanks
Appreciate the step by step really helped thanks a lot Keep It coming nice 👀 🍿
This video helped me a lot i hope your still doing videos I'll be looking forward for more thanks brother!!
17:45 looks like a nasty, bearded bald man monster with beady black eyes. (The orange gunk on the bottom)
Thank you thank you. Just made my job a lot easier
Braces
Have you made a video on the Power Valve Adjustment steps in case someone messes with it or wants to be sure it’s set proper? I almost pulled it out but didn’t remember any video showing it being pulled. And then I ran across your video and you were the first I saw to address it. Great video Thanks
Frame off restoration & then throw in a 455 & TH-400.
I l9ve the Grand Prix's from all years. My favorite is the 1972, which is have in black. I also got a 1987 Grand Prix with a 4.3 fuel injected V6 a couple years ago with 54,000 miles on it. Both are great cars. Pontiac forever baby!
I had an 81 Grand Prix and a 67 LeMans
Use white lithium grease!
Do you have any 87 Monte SS parts?
Liked and subscribed from the old mans garage 👍🇺🇸
Dude my buddy in high school have a 78 Cutlass 4-speed from the factory he might even still have the wrecked car LOL he flipped it but anyway I've always wanted one I had the Monte Carlo's but never a four-speed you got anything sweet like that I prefer 78 Cutlass
Hello, I have a 1979 old Cutler supreme thanks for your video although I’m saying it nine years late lol was wondering if you still had any parts to those vehicles specifically the plastic trim on the land out top that goes around the back window that’s covered up
This isn't detailed if the entire video is mostly you disassembling for ten mins. You didn't even show the new gasket installation or torque specs at least. One word that stood out to me was finaggling ... that's exactly what I suspect was going on here. Pretty much explains everything.
